Summary of Discussion for our Curriculum Project thus far: Use of Constructivist Approach in design of Curriculum. 1) Individual Research (Online) 2) Collaboration in Discussion 3) Proposing of Theory (Consolidation) 4) Presentation (Sharing of knlwledge)
I would like to park some notes that I have gathered from the Endevour Primary School Visit here so that we can refer to it and bounce ideas off on this platform for our curriculum project. Do correct me if my interpretation is not accurate. :) - Assessment for Learning is an important component to take note of - Cooperative Learning and Experential LEarning must be included in the curriculum - Collaborative learning to take place in the NHSB rooms -Current Structure in place: class blogs (communication from school to stakeholders but not the other way round yet - Teachers are ready to embark on the NHSB journey - Single Session School/ 6 NHSB rooms for core and non-core subjects - NHSB includes Media + Technology + Online Resources - Infrastructure includes : netbooks/ ipod/eePC/ Blogging/ Podcast/ no wireless network yet - 3Cs to be met: Confidence/Creativity/Curiosity - Mathematics and English1 P4-P5 & P1 - P2 (Already 1 team working on this) - School believes that the Grammar of the classroom needs to be changed for teaching style to be changed.
